What is the Denise Ryan Fund?

The Denise Ryan fund was created to honor an amazing woman that dedicated her life to her family and sports.  The fund is used to help families in need with children who have a passion for the game of football and may not have the means to play the game.  This fund was created to help these families and children play the game they love and be a part of a bigger family...the Jr. Warriors.

How is the scholarship program funded?

The Denise Ryan Fund is primarily funded by donations.  Also, 100% of the 50/50 raffle proceeds during home games are put into the Denise Ryan Fund.

How many scholarships are given a season?

The number of scholarships varies year to year based on the previous year's donations.  Each season, we try to approve, at minimum, 10% of the total number of registrations.

Who can apply?

Any family with a passion for the sport that is not able to afford the costs of the program.  You may apply and receive the scholarship twice per household.  If you have already received the scholarship twice, you can still apply.  As long as there are scholarships available, they will be awarded.

Are there any costs?

There will be an initial fee of $75 to apply for the scholarship.  This is to cover the costs of the game jersey and pants.  If your application is approved, the remaining costs will be funded by the program.  If the application is not approved, the $75 will go towards the registration fees.
